Apple’s strategically marketing partner, Foxconn, has announced a target release date for the new iPhone 4.0 OS of June 7. This is definitely a feasible release date, as several Beta versions of the 4.0 OS have already been released to app developers The new OS will have a ton of great features including multitasking, unified email, background wallpapering, ad much more.
Here is a full video tour of an early Beta 4.0 OS. This may not be the most up to date version of the upcoming OS, but it definitely appears to be the real thing:
I for one am very impressed with the new operating system, and can’t wait for it to come out. I also like that Apple has taken a bunch of the better features of jailbroken iPhones and implemented them into the new OS with the menu backgrounds, and multitasking. While this release date isn’t set in stone, I fully expect the update to be released sometime around June 7, unless a monumental setback occurs.
